Perfection in loop labeling: for the clever labeling of goods and containers

Electronic looped label with a large reading range for commercial, industrial and logistics applications. PMG developed – and has just considerably improved – the PMG RFID Looptag for labeling tasks where it is not possible to apply the label directly to the object. 

Whether it be cable harnesses, power and server cables, plants, bags or baskets, whether for the labeling of high-pressure coolant hoses in vehicles or Euro containers and other holders – the looptag can be applied reliably and with ease, and can be currently read from a distance of up to three meters, for example when the goods are stored in a high shelf compartment.

Another advantage: no visual contact with the PMG RFID Looptag is required – a feature that additionally simplifies the identification procedure.

New UHF transponder provides additional storage space

Also in the metal environment, for example when labeling pipes, the PMG RFID Looptag wins over the newest generation with its further improved reading performance. For saving data content, the new UHF chip provides an EPC (Electronic Product Code) memory of 448 bits and a user memory that has now been quadrupled to 2.048 bits. The new RFID inlay is extremely flat, making the surface of the looped label even better for serial thermal transfer printing or laser printing. The print layout can be designed any way you like – with barcodes, 2D codes, plain writing and individual logos. This allows objects to remain identifiable and assignable, even if there is no RFID reader within reach.

Secure, robust, versatile

The PMG RFID Looptag can withstand demanding environmental conditions. The looped label can be durably fixed to the object – thanks to a synthetic, permanently adhesive hybrid glue with which one side of the banner-type label is coated. This ensures a firm bond with the reverse side of the label – and thus its reliable and durable retention on the object. The temperature resistance of the UHF inlay is specified at -40 °F to +185 °F ( -40 °C to +85 °C); the plastic material is suitable for a temperature range of between -40 °F to +302 °F (-40 °C and +150 °C).

The looped label is weather resistant, making it appropriate for outdoor use, and it meets the specifications of REACH regulation 1907/2006/EG and the current RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) guidelines.
